I have over ten years of cumulative professional work experience in Business Development, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Project Management. I enjoy problem solving and helping businesses make more efficient data driven decisions. I specialize in Power BI dashboard creation, editing, and “fixing” errors within existing dashboards; as well as Financial Data Analysis within Excel Dashboards. I am proficient in DAX, creating automated refreshes, bookmarks, M code, ETL, etc. I have worked with extremely large (and confidential) datasets so I can handle any data that is thrown at me. I enjoy having some direction but putting my own spin on dashboard and visualizations when possible. I have created many Power BI and Excel dashboards for clients within the Medical, Construction, Finance, and Marketing industries.
My most recent project consisted of a Power BI dashboard (and a corresponding Excel Dashboard linked to it) that contained sales data from an ERP system as & cost data from the client. I created many different visualizations to help them decide which specific zip code areas had the best conversion rates, marketing cost, leads, GSA, etc. so they could invest in better ad spend.
I work full time as a Financial Data Analyst and pick up projects in the slower months and my free time. I have a lot of experience with KPI calculations, QA testing, creating and maintaining complex financial dashboards, budgeting, and visualizations. While in college I studied business analytics focused on Machine Learning, Linear programing, and other business intelligence focusing on R studio and excel.
I do have some background in taxation and government spending as well. My contracts are confidential so I am not able to share too many specific details but I am happy to answer questions and share more about the skills I have/use.
I have had some exposure to VBA, SQL, R, Python, and Tableau, and I am currently working on expanding and improving these skills. If there is a project requiring these skills I would be happy to work at a reduced rate while I gain more experience in these areas.
